Arts , Crafts and Horticulture

Our Exhibit Hall is for everyone! We have a huge selection of arts, crafts, and handiworks; plus baking, canning, and gardening items. Students also have a special spot to show off their projects and art from the past school year.

Kids can enter their Lego and finger-painting creations, and teenagers can show off their photography, sewing, or woodworking skills. Did Uncle Joe teach you how to weld? Did Aunt Mary share her gardening tips with you? We’d love to see what you can do! Grandparents and Adults who are 60+ have a senior section all to themselves, which includes classes such as crafts, woodworking and quilting. For you parents, it’s time to have a mini bake-off and find out who bakes the best cookies! Whatever it is you like to make, we love to see your creations and are sure you will find a class to enter it!

The Barn Quilt
Project

The DAS Exhibit Hall committee is working on creating a barn quilt trail in the Carman Area. We have created the first two quilts on the fairgrounds, displayed on our Exhibit Building, and hope that this inspires you to create your own!

There are three ways to join the project:- Donate a barn quilt for us to hang- Make a barn quilt for your own enjoyment and register it to be added to the map- Support us with a donation towards supplies to make more barn quilts
